Goriška Brda region
On the very west side of Slovenia on 72 square2 there is beautiful wine growing
region Goriška Brda. It extends trough the state border ( Italy ) from the
river Soča on southeastern part to the Idrija river on northwestern part. The
region ends with two old hills; Sabotin on east and Korada on north.
On
southern part, the wine hills end into the Friuli valley.
In pleasure mediteranian clime, more than 5000 people arrange their houses
and more; their home.
White churches on the top of the hills are a common charasteristic of the
surroundings architecture.
Perfect
circumstances and hard working people provide for hundreds of sunny fruits
of cherries, peaches, apricots, olives, figs, chesnut and grapes of course,
which at St. Martins day matures into wine.
